The Day Has Come!

Imanuel started walking today!  We were visiting his “great-grandparents” from church and he just started walking around their house like it was nothing.  Israel was at the U.P. Men of Faith so he missed it.  Anyway, when we came home, he continued walking around the house like he was an old pro.  I could not believe it.   It was just like that.  Yesterday he was walking maybe 5-7 steps between furniture, and today he’s walking around our whole house, standing on his own, and he even turned around.  All I gotta say is that I prayed this Sabbath would be a blessing and it sure was…in more ways than one!

  1. cool, Jude.  See, you didn’t have to worry about good ol’ Mandoo…
my Sabbath was really nice.  Thought about a lot of things.  Hope yours was too…  Seems like IR gets to go on all these trips.  What about Jude?  =)
    love you guys~

  2. What? What are all these people happy about?!? Ramosito is walking. People! Pump your jolly brakes! This is terrible news. TERRIBLE! Next he will be running and then he will be climbing trees and then he will be driving, hangliding, paratrooping. I’m not ready for this yet! He’s still my little Ramosito! Not yet a boy. ::Pouts, mourns the loss of little non-ambulatory wee little Ramosito::

  3. And why is that exciting? Oh yeah, a milestone. But really, now your job got a lot harder. But I guess easier in some ways right? Andy is still at the 5-7 step stage. He ventures from couch into the middle of room sometimes though, with no ending point except his bottom to carpet. I’m afraid it won’t be long. He will be 1 a week from tomorrow (May 7).

  4. I knew it was coming soon. That’s neat. Judy, do you mind emailing me the pictures you took of me at the wonderful after my camera battery died? Thanks! It was wonderful spending time with you and Imanuel. Next time I visit hopefully Israel will be there too.

  5. So Imanuel graduated from babyhood while I was graduating from college (although, he’ll always be a baby). It’ll be no time before he’s where I am today. Yikes! Can’t wait to see pictures.

  6. Cool! I had a dream last night that I went to go visit you guys and Imanuel ran up to me to greet me! Hope that dream will come true soon. Although by the time I see him, he may be around that age where he’ll have stranger anxiety… make sure you show him a picture of me and Aileen at least once a day!
